I recently got a brand new Pansonic Lumix LX5. I know it's a point-and-shoot camera, but in my opinion, not EVERY situation requires assembling a DSLR. I still shoot on my (now defunct) Nikon D300.
However, my goal is to become a better photographer. I feel that it's more important to take pictures and learn how to be behind the camera. So, my aim is to have the point and shoot around me most of the time so I can fire off 5-10 maybe 50 shots in a day!
I'll write a review once I've had it a bit longer, but I've included my initial test shots that I took last night (all shots were in manual mode):

Panning Shot

Macro Shot

Shot with my Nikon SB900 attached to the LX5 hot shoe.
